In centrifuges, not only radial flow as described previously. Sometimes centrifuges also use axial flow. The axial flow here means, the flow is parallel (parallel) to the pump shaft. If a simple example is everyday, we can see this axial flow like a fan. Imagine a fan that is spinning around the round sling in between.
The pressure produced comes from the centrifugal force. Where the liquid enters through the center of the impeller, and then is pushed out of the impeller perpendicular to the shaft of the pump.
